Giới thiệu:

Có khi nàobạn tự hỏi: “Sao mình học rất nhiều từ mới tiếng Anh… Rồi thắm thoát một thờigian thì lại quên mất? Và tự nhiên mình thấy làm biếng học lại ghê gớm? Và mìnhcố gắng học lại thì một thời gian sau lại quên nữa thì sao?”. Thì đó là lúc bạnnên tìm cho mình một lối thoát khỏi cái vòng lẩn quẩn này.

Nhưng làmthế nào? Vì ngoại ngữ là một ngôn ngữ, nó không đòi hỏi bạn phải có những kỹnăng thật đặc biệt mới có thể học được. Nó chỉ cần bạn bỏ ra nhiều thời gian đểtiếp xúc, để nhàu nặn,… Thì nó mới là của bạn, nó mới xuất hiện đúng lúc mỗikhi bạn cần sử dụng.

Nói thì nóivậy, nhưng không phải ai cũng có thời gian để trao dồi vốn từ vựng của mìnhtheo kiểu đọc sách báo, học ở các lớp học, mua sách về xem,... một cách thườngxuyên và điều đặn. Cho dù có thời gian đi nữa thì có lúc bạn cũng sẽ chán. Nênmình nghĩ sao chúng ta không nhờ đến những phần mềm máy tính. Đó là những côngcụ tuyệt vời, những trợ thủ đắc lực của chúng ta, nó sẽ giúp chúng ta bất cứkhi nào và ở bất kỳ đâu.

Mình luôn cótham vọng mạng lại một phần mềm sẽ hỗ trợ người học đầy đủ nhất, giúp họ tiếpcận với ngoại ngữ theo nhiều khía cạnh, nhiều ngữ cảnh khác nhau, nhắc nhở họkhi họ quên, đưa ra những lời động viên khi họ gặp khó khăn và quan trọng hơnlà cho họ biết học ngoại ngữ cũng thật vui và hấp dẫn như khi ta chơi trò chơivậy.

Và giờ đây phầnmềm English ToolTip chính là công cụ đó. ET sẽ giúp mình hiện thực các ý tưởngmà mình đã ấp ủ bấy lâu nay cộng với các cách học anh văn bổ ích mà mình tiếpthu được khi còn đi học ở các trung tâm, các kinh nghiệm của những giảng viên,trên Internet, bạn bè (những người học ngoại ngữ rất khá),…

Ở phiên bảnEnglish ToolTip Free 1.1 này. Mình xin gửi đến các bạn những tính năng cơ bảnnhưng rất quan trọng của phần mềm. Cũng như những công cụ giúp các bạn tự soạncác nhóm từ vựng làm nền tảng cho mình. Và ở phiên bản đã tích hợp sẵn từ điển 600 từ Toeic và các từ điển chủ đề khác.

Vài lời nhắn nhủ:

Chàocác bạn, lời đầu tiên mình muốn nói là xin cảm ơn các bạn đã sử dụng EnglishTooltip 1.x.x trong thời gian qua. Ở thời điểm mình viết bản miễn phí này thì cácphiên bản 1.x.x đã được tải về rất nhiều (vượt qua con số 30.000 khá xa). Phiênbản 2.x.x + 3.x.x là hơn 8000. (Vì 2 phiên bản này có tính phí ^^)

Các tính năng chính:

Nhắc nhở hỗ trợ hình ảnh,từ loại, nghĩa, phiên âm, cáccâu ví dụ, giải nghĩa tiếng anh, từ đồng nghĩa, liên kết từ và đặc biệt hỗ trợ phát âm bằng các giọng đọc có sẵn trong Windows.Và phần mềm tự động tìm các từ vựng có cùng nhómvới nhau hoặc nhắc nhở các từ theo lịch học để ưu tiên nhắc nhở trước. Hỗ trợ thêm nhanhtừ vựng vào từ điển khi đang ở chế độ nhắc nhở. Và tùy chọn vị trí của nhắc nhởcó thể ở 1 trong 4 góc hoặc ở giữa màn hình, khích thước của nhắc nhở. Đặc biệthơn bạn có thể tùy chọn hiển thị nghĩa sau từ vựngmột khoảng thời gian để bạn có thể tự mình kiểm tra lại nghĩa mà bạn nhớ cógiống với nghĩa của từ vựng hay không. Và kiểu nhắc nhở mạnh, giúp bạn ôn lại những từ vựng đã học một cách hiệu quả.

Quản lý từ vựng. Với khá nhiều chức năng như thiết lập độ khó cho từ vựng, gom nhóm từ, nhắc nhở những từ đã chọn, chuyển từ vựng qua từ điển khác, lập lịch nhắc nhở.

Bạn có thể tự soạn từ điển nhỏ (dùng cho việc nhắc nhở) có hỗ trợ quản lý nhóm từ điển, tìm từ vựng trực tuyến chỉ cần nhập từ vựng và các thành phần còn lại của từ vựng như nghĩa, phiên âm,… sẽ được phần mềm tự tìm qua từ điển trực tuyến. Và hơn thế nữa phần mềm tự động liệt kê ra nghĩa tiếng Việt, nghĩa tiếng Anh và rất nhiều ví dụ trong nhiều ngữ cảnh khác nhau cho bạn lựa chọn.

Tìm kiếm gần đúng theo từ vựng, nghĩa, ví dụ để cập nhật hoặc xóa và hiển thị từ vựng mà bạn cần tìm lên nhắc nhở ngay lập tức.

Sắp xếp tăng hoặc giảm dần theo từ vựng, từ loại, nghĩa, phiên âm, ví dụ, độ khó và nhóm từ.

Kiểu hiển thị từ vựng ngẫu nhiên, từ trên xuống, từ dưới lên, theo độ khó, theo nhóm từ trong từ điển.

Tùy chọn và tự tạo hình nền làm giaodiện cho phần mềm, màu của nhắc nhở và màu của các thành phần khác trên nhắcnhở, thay đổi vị trí, khích thước, kiểu nhắc nhở (Yếu/Mạnh), làm cho nhắc nhởtrở nên trong suốt.

Hỗ trợ hiển thị nhắc nhở luôn ở trên cùng (AlwaysTop), khởi động cùng với Windows, hỗ trợ tiếng việt và tiếng anh. Tùy chọn fontchữ, khích thước. Và ngoài ra bạn cũng có thể saolưu và phục hồi lại từ điển.

Học tiếng anh vui nhộn với các bài học Funny Lesson từ Engleo

Hôm nay mình xin giới thiệu đến các bạn các video học tiếng anh khá thú vị và vui nhộn do chính tác giả của trang Engleo.com tự làm. Qua các video này mình hy vọng các bạn sẽ thấy anh văn là không còn là một môn học nữa... mà nó là một cái gì đó rất hấp dẫn và cuốn hút. Video có 64 bài học, bao gồm các chủ đề như : Breaking News, Fashion, Money, Love, Fear, Sorry, Time, Technology, Slang, Body Language, Grammar, Health,... và so sánh các từ khiến ta hay nhầm lẫn như Complaint - Complain, Like - Dislike,...Tác giả hướng dẫn cũng khá là vui tính đấy!

Mình xin chia sẻ phương pháp học anh văn của Tiến Sĩ Pimsleur. Đây là một bộ đầy đủ 17 CD được mình nén lại thành các CD-A và CD-B với thời lượng khoảng 40-60 phút cho một tập tin. Mình chia thành 2 link tải về từ Mediafire. Đây là cách học anh văn khá hay, nó giúp các bạn mới làm quen với anh văn cũng có thể học một cách dễ dàng. Vì người học được nhóm tác giả chỉ bảo, chăm sóc rất tận tình qua các CD luyện nghe. Rất tiện lợi khi bạn chép trên các thiết bị cầm tay khác như MP3, MP4, di động chứ không chỉ nghe trên PC.

Và vài lời mình muốn nhắn nhủ đến các bạn là nếu có đủ khả năng về tài chính thì bạn nên mua ủng hộ tác giả, vì bộ CD này có bản quyền (trí tuệ + rất nhiều công sức của nhóm tác giả). Nên mình chỉ chia sẻ với các bạn có hoàn cảnh khó khăn mà không có điều kiện để học anh văn thôi nhé.

Một mẹo nhỏ để nhập ví dụ nhanh hơn là bạn có thể dùng từ điển Lingoes lấy dữ liệu từ từ điển của Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary hoặcJukuu English Sentence để copy và paste nhanh hơn. Vì từ điển của Cambridge có chia ví dụ theo từ loại, rất đầy đủ và sinh động.

Đây là các video clip rất hay do mình sưa tập được. Video clip phát âm khá chuẩn bao gồm các hoạt động thường ngày trong cuộc sống như : đi chợ, phỏng vấn xin việc, gặp gỡ khách hàng, chăm sóc sức khỏe,...Đầu tiên bạn sẽ được xem đoạn đối thoại giữa các diễn viên (như trong các bộ phim). RULE 1: Study Phrases, Not Individual Words

Never study a single, individual word. Never.

When you find a new word, always write down The Phrase it is in. Always. When you review, always review all of the phrase,.. not the word.

Collect phrases.
Your speaking and grammar will improve 4-5 times faster. Always write the complete phrase.
Never again study a single word. Never write a single word in your notebook.

RULE 2: Don’t Study Grammar

Rule 2: A Story From Angelina

“My name is Angelina and I’m a student from Paraguay. When I started learning with A.J., I couldn’t speak any English. I had studied English grammar many years, but I couldn’t speak.

The first day with A.J.’s Effortless English I thought I would study grammar. However, he surprised me because he never taught grammar rules.

Instead, he told a story. He told it many times, in a strange way. He constantly asked questions, and I answered the questions. The questions were super-easy.

How do you learn deeply? Easy– just repeat all lessons or listening many times. For example, if you have an audio book, listen to the first chapter 30 times before you go to the second chapter. You could listen to the first chapter 3 times each day, for 10 days.

RULE 5: Use Point Of View Mini-Stories

Rule 5: A Story
Miyuki did very well on grammar tests. She knew all of the grammar rules. She knew English verbs. But Miyuki had a problem. She couldn’t USE the grammar in a real conversation. She could explain the past tense, but when speaking, she would say “Yesterday I GO to school”. Miyuki was confused. How could her grammar tests be so good, but her speaking so bad? Miyuki said:
“Before Effortless English, I knew all the grammar rules, but I couldn’t speak correctly. I couldn’t feel English grammar. After using Point of View stories, I feel it and use it correctly.Now my grammar is great when I speak. I never think about it, I just automatically use correct grammar. Thank you A.J.!”

Miyuki learned this grammar naturally. She never studied grammar rules. How did she do it?

First she listened to a short story in the present tense. She listened to it everyday.
Then, she listened to the exact SAME story– but this time it started with “10 years ago….” She learned to “feel” the past tense by listening to this story.

Next, I gave her the exact same story. This time, it started with “Since 2004…” Miyuki learned to FEEL the perfect tenses by listening to this story.

Finally, I gave her the exact same story… beginning with “Next year”. She learned to FEEL the future tense simply by listening to this story.

I call these stories “Point Of View Mini-Stories”. They are the most powerful way to learn and use English grammar automatically.

You must learn grammar by listening to real English. The best way is to listen to the same story… told in different times (points of view): Past, Perfect, Present, Future.
How do you do this? Easy!

Find a story or article in the present tense. Then ask your native speaker tutor to write it again in the Past, with Perfect tenses, and in the Future. Finally, ask him to read and record these stories for you.
Then you can listen to story with many different kinds of grammar. You don’t need to know the grammar rules. Just listen to the Point of View stories and you will improve grammar automatically!
You can also find Point of View lessons and use them to learn grammar automatically.
It is powerful. It is simple. It is successful. You will succeed. You will use correct grammar naturally and automatically.

Rule 7: An English Success Story

Tại sao mình phải học từ vựng? Học từ vựng như thế nào để nhớ thật lâu? Và học từ vựng bao nhiêu là đủ?

Đó là câu hỏi của không ít bạn trẻ khi bắt đầu học ngoại ngữ. Vì trong bất kỳ môn ngoại ngữ nào cũng đòi hỏi người học phải "nắm" một vốn từ vựng kha khá mới có thể giao tiếp lưu loát, đó là chưa kể khi bạn muốn diễn đạt ý của mình về một sự vật, hay sự kiện nào đó cũng phải mất khá nhiều thời gian nếu mình không có một vốn từ phong phú.
Nhưng cái quan trọng của chúng ta ở đây không phải học bao nhiêu từ vựng mà là học thế nào để có thể nhớ lâu và nhớ thật sâu các từ vựng đó và bổ sung nó vào vốn từ vựng của mình. Để mình có thể sử dụng nó một cách thuần thục.
Mình đã từng rất nhiều lần nhớ những từ vựng này rồi lại quên, rồi lại mở tập ra ôn cho nhớ lại, nhưng bẵng một thời gian sau đó lại quên lúc nào không hay. Cứ như thế đến 5-6 lần mà mình vẫn không sao thoát ra được cái vòng "lẩn quẩn" đó.

Trong quá trình đó mình đã khám phá ra khá nhiều cách học từ vựng khác nhau như :
(ở đây mình học tiếng anh)

-Học từ vựng qua việc đọc các mẫu truyện nhỏ bằng tiếng anh, những từ nào bạn chưa biết hay làm bạn dễ nhầm lẫn, hay quên thì bạn nên gạch dưới nó và lấy từ điển ra tra lại. Cho đến khi bạn có một vốn từ khá hơn thì sau đó bạn bắt đầu chuyển qua đọc báo hoặc sách tiếng anh, không cần bạn phải chạy ra ngoài kiếm báo tiếng anh làm gì chỉ việc lên tìm các trang báo trực tuyến có rất nhiều trên mạng như tạp chí TIME, BBC, VOA ... Hay các sách chuyên ngành viết bằng tiếng anh của bạn.

+Ưu điểm : Cách học này khá hiệu quả, giúp mình mở mang thêm nhiều kiến thức khác nữa chứ không chỉ ngoại ngữ mà mình muốn học.

+Khuyết điểm : Cách học này khá nhàm chán, đòi hỏi nổ lực ở người học rất cao, dễ khiến người học nhàm chán và bỏ ngang.

-Học từ vựng ở các trung tâm anh ngữ.

+Ưu điểm : Học khá vui vẻ, thoải mái, dễ tiếp thu. Vừa giao lưu với các bạn khác, vừa trao đổi với giao viên.

+Khuyết điểm : Số từ vựng học được khá ít, cũng phụ thuộc vào việc bạn tự học ở nhà là chính, mất nhiều tiền. ^^

-Học qua phim ảnh, nhạc, Tivi.

+Ưu điểm : Không phải đi đâu cả vì học ở tại nhà,vừa có hình ảnh, âm thích giúp việc học trở nên hứng thú hơn.

+Khuyết điểm : Phải có vốn từ vựng căn bản, bỏ nhiều thời gian, tập tính kiên nhẫn, hơi mỏi mắt vì ngồi xem Tivi hoài. ^^

-Học qua các từ điển có hình ảnh được chia theo chủ đề và có ví dụ minh họa.

+Ưu điểm : Chỉ mất tiền mua 1 quyển từ điển, nhờ có các hình ảnh giúp bạn nhớ từ vựng dễ dàng hơn.

+Khuyết điểm : Đòi hỏi người dùng phải kiên nhẫn trong một thời gian dài, không thể nghe giọng đọc của người bản ngữ, dễ gây nhàm chán.

-Học qua các phần mềm.

+Ưu điểm : Có thể kết hợp các phương pháp ở trên lại, tùy biến theo cách người dùng muốn học mà khó có phương pháp nào có thể thay thế được. Mang lại hiệu quả khá cao cho người sử dụng.

+Khuyết điểm : Khó tìm được phần mềm vừa ý. Các phần mềm nước ngoài dùng tốt thì lại có giá khá cao từ vài trăm USD trở lên. Chắc lúc này bạn muốn nói ở VN thì mình dùng crack à. Nhưng những phần mềm đó họ dành cho một người nước ngoài muốn học tiếng anh chứ không phải được phát triển hướng đến cách học, cách tiếp thu của riêng người Việt. Và chúng không thể thay đổi theo ý muốn của bạn được. Và cũng không dễ dàng gì để tạo những cái riêng cho mình trong phần mềm đó. Ví dụ bạn muốn có một từ điển để học các từ bạn hay quên chẳng hạn.

==>Kết luận :

Vậy nên muốn nhớ từ vựng thật lâu và thật sâu thì không còn cách nào khác là bạn phải "tiếp xúc" với từ vựng đó thường xuyên. Có thời gian rảnh là "nhào nặn" nó ngay!

Nên từ thực tế đó cộng với mong muốn đem lại một phần mềm phục vụ thật tốt và gần gũi với người sử dụng hơn. Nên mình luôn ngày đêm tìm hiểu các phương pháp học từ vựng nhằm giúp người dùng tiếp thu từ vựng dễ dàng, thú vị và hiệu quả nhất để tích hợp vào phần mềm English Tooltip. Mình viết phần mềm này theo hướng là một công cụ + tính mở rộng cao, vì các dữ liệu của English Tooltip bạn có thể thêm vào tùy thích, từ dữ liệu từ vựng, hình ảnh cho tới dữ liệu luyện nghe và cả giao diện.

Và qua đó phần mềm cũng giúp hiện thực hóa những phương pháp học từ vựng mà bạn yêu thích, soạn ra các từ điển chỉ bao gồm những từ mà bạn muốn học, giúp bạn học từ vựng dễ dàng và thú vị hơn. Để việc học tiếng anh không còn là một cái gì lớn lao, khô khan lắm mà biến nó trở nên rất thoải mái và lôi cuốn.

Hy vọng English Tooltip sẽ nhận được nhiều ý kiến đóng góp quý báo của các bạn để phần mềm có thể phát triển ngày một hoàn thiện hơn và không thua kém các phần mềm của nước ngoài.

Storyline

Storyline

Storyline
